New American Draped Bust 1 AVP OZ Copper Rounds

This copper round is one AVP oz of .999 copper. AVP stands for avoir-dupois, and is equal to 28.3 grams. This is in contrast to a Troy oz. which is 31.1 grams, and is most commonly associated with the sale and purchase of gold, silver, and platinum coins and bullion. The design of this privately minted copper round is the famed "draped bust," designed by Robert Scot, and minted between 1793-1829. The design is of a buxom Ms. Liberty with flowing locks. On the reverse is the heraldic eagle, behind a shield and under thirteen 5 pointed stars, representing the thirteen original colonies.

These amazing coins are only $2.97 each. Click here to view them in our store.
